Appearance

Fauns stand about five feet tall. Their build is average, neither overly slim like elves nor broad and muscular like dwarves. Their eyes are brown or blue. Their complexion is swarthy. Fauns also have small goat horns on the top of their heads, goat legs, a short tail, and cloven hooves. Fauns live about seventy years.

Fauns have hair and fur. Hair appears on fauns on their heads and torso. Their hair can be black, brown, red, or yellow and is thick and woolly. Fur appears on fauns on their legs, groin, and tail. Their fur is brown or auburn. Males have thick chest hair but cannot grow beards, only moustaches and goatees.

They are not ashamed of they naked form and some women will go about with their breasts exposed. At the same time, they love fancy clothes and will wear bright garish clothes to show off their sense of style, or lack of it.

Abilities

Fauns are weaker than humans but more nimble and have better endurance. They are said to make the best lovers because they thoroughly enjoy sex and the act of procreation. They are also said to know a few secrets that heightens the experience for humans.

They love to party and enjoy good food, drink (wine usually), and conversation. Fauns love romance and attractive mates are seduced with all the charms they can muster. Mostly, they seek pleasure in all its forms.

Many fauns can play the pan flute, the lute, or the harp. They can also dance and tell stories very well. Many fauns live in the forest, preferring nature to any other environment. However, some fauns live among humans in small rural communities. Fauns never live in large cities.

Fauns are not known to wield magic but stories of fauns casting minor spells to play tricks on unsuspecting humans wandering through a wood are common. Fauns frequently play the role of trickster when not trying to seduce others.
