Ellyllon
Appearance
Ellyllon are creatures of Faerie with large translucent butterfly wings and annentae. The patterns on their wings conveys the individual's lineage but none save the Ellyllon can decipher this code.
They are one of the shorest races known; they range in height from six inches to sixteen inches tall. They weigh very little; no more than a pound or two. As a result, they are not very strong and can be squashed like a bug if caught. However, they are very nimble and flit about like fireflies.
Their complexion is fair, smooth, and beautiful; they never have freckles or acne. Nose, mouth, ears, and cheeks all are moderately proportioned to give elves a beautiful appearance. The color of their hair ranges from yellow to silver to white. Eye color is blue, hazel, or green.
Ellyllon dress according to their station but always in bright colors; male dress resemblences that of human swashbucklers; females wear hoop skirts and jewelry on their wrists and necks, and in their hair.
Abilities
Ellyllon have better hearing and vision than humans. They can hear into the ultrasonic range and can see in the dark. Ellyllon can also fly short distances (about 500 yards) easily. For long distances they need to rest often or ride on some other animals. For this reason they are fond of parrots and maintain an air force to protect their homeland.
All Ellyllon speak elven and Thalacian and most Ellyllons study how to use and apply poisons. They are excellent craftsmen and use lances, swords, and daggers in battle. They also favor the blowpipe to inject poison into oppoponents.
Some among the Ellyllon wield magic and favor air spells, illusions, and mind control spells.
