Lizard Men
Appearance
Lizard men stand from six and a half to seven feet tall. Their build is broad and muscular. Like dragons, they are covered in scales and have a tail. Lizard men scales are green and varies in hue only. The head of a lizard men looks like a tyrannosaurus rex only smaller. Lizard men have no hair but do have claws on their hands and feet. Their eyes are gold. Lizard men live about 60 years.
Abilities
Lizard men are considerably stronger and have more endurance than humans or dwarves. While they have claws, fangs, and tails, none of these are used in combat and are equivalent to long nails and sharp teeth in humans. They require weapons to hunt or wage war.
They live in the desert and have frequent interactions with different tribes of lizard men, human desert nomads, and the few Moorish cities that spot the edge of this hot and barren wilderness. Like dwarves, lizard men are trained to fight and use all large weapons, such as two-handed swords, two-handed axes, crossbows, large spears, and large javelins.
The ability to wield magic seems to be unknown among lizard men. They cannot cast the spells of men and elves and they have no interest in alchemy. Rune magic may be one form of magic they practice but if they do, they do so in secret or at night.
